(Consolidation) Order 2022 (Variation No.29) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that on the 13 August 2026 North Somerset Council made the following order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of which will be to amend the North Somerset Council (Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 to include amendments to parking restrictions (yellow lines and laybys) on Weston Road and Lovelinch Gardens, Long Ashton, North Somerset. The extent of the proposals are described in the Schedule to this notice. The order will come into operation on the 14 September 2026 and copies of the order may be inspected at https://streets.appyway.com/north-somerset
Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
Long Ashton Bypass, Colliters Way, Long Ashton, North Somerset
Temporary 30mph Speed Restriction Order 2026
Date coming Into Force: 28 September 2026

Will be to restrict, temporarily, any vehicles from exceeding 30mph on the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services in an emergency situation.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by RKBell Projects to enable traffic management at the new Epic campus development site with a speed limit reduction to 30mph. This order will become operative on the 28 September 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 185 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026
Date coming Into Force: 2 November 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Gigaclear for remedial works to rectify a defect. This order will become operative on the 2 November 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order will become operative on the 2 November 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration. Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpath specified in Schedule of this notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, access to properties and works access.
This order is required because of work being executed on the footpath by North Somerset Council to upgrade the route. This order will become operative on 17 August 2026 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 4 months in duration.
