What is happening?

Manchester City Council

Manchester City Council proposes to make the CITY OF MANCHESTER (ACACIAS COMMUNITY PRIMARY SCHOOL) (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING DURING TERM TIME EXCEPT CYCLES AND PERMIT HOLDERS) ORDER 2026 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce the following: PROHIBITION OF DRIVING DURING TERM TIME MONDAY TO FRIDAY 8.15AM-9AM AND 2.45PM-3.45PM (EXCEPT CYCLES AND PERMIT HOLDERS):
Alexandra Drive, for its entire length. Roseleigh Avenue, for its entire length.

PERMITS available for residents at Nos. 1-20 Roseleigh Avenue and Nos. 1-19 Alexandra Drive, Acacias Community Primary School, and Acacias Community Primary School Nursery. A copy of the proposed Order, a Statement of Reasons, and a plan showing the proposals can be requested by emailing phlegal@manchester.gov. uk or examined in person by appointment at the Customer Service Centre, Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30pm. 

Objections to the proposals must be sent in writing to phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or to the address below, stating the grounds on which they are made, no later than 9th September 2026. Please quote reference L/JUH/HIG002/84240
