SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC POSTERN,
GATEHEAD AND NARROW LANE,
STORWOOD
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
Narrow Lane, Storwood between the side of Bridge
House and opposite Mill Field House commencing
1 September 2026 to allow works to undertake fibre
cable installation as part of the larger fibre to home
Scheme on Postern, Gatehead and Narrow Lane,
Storwood. The road closure is necessary to enable the
works to be carried out in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for
18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed within two days. The alternative route for
traffic affected by the road closure will be via:
Postern Lane, Langrickgate Lane, Ballhall Lane and
Hagg Lane, Cottingwith CP, Wolds Weighton Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but
access will be maintained for emergency vehicles.
