RESTRICTION GARROWBY HILL &
SOUTH WOLD, BISHOP WILTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle
to proceed at a speed in excess of 40 mph whilst
appropriate temporary signage is in place between
the junctions of Megginson JD & Son Farm and past
the layby. The layby will be closed for the duration of
the works on Garrowby Hill to allow for use as a lay
down area for the job commencing 14 September
2026 at 08.00 hours until 25 September 2026 at
18.00 hours. The closure is required to allow for the
safe passage of vehicles through the works to replace
existing OH pole mounted equipment with new UG
cables. The road closure is necessary to enable the
works to be carried out in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid
for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will
be completed within 12 days. Further information can
