ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following
stretches of road:
l Right Hand Turns from Ring Road St Patricks
(anticlockwise) onto Ring Road St Patricks (clockwise)
closed. Vehicular Diversion Route: Ring Road
(anticlockwise), Chapel Ash Island and Ring Road
(clockwise). It is anticipated that the closure will operate
from 31 August 2026 until 1 September 2026.
l Right Hand Turn from Ring Road St Davids
(anticlockwise) onto Broad Street closed. Vehicular
Diversion Route: Ring Road (anticlockwise) and then
right hand turn onto Ring Road St Patricks (clockwise).
It is anticipated that the closure will operate from
2 September 2026 until 9 September 2026.
l Right Hand Turns and Bus Lane from Ring Road St Davids
(clockwise) onto Ring Road St Davids (anticlockwise)
closed. Vehicular Diversion Route: Ring Road (clockwise),
Bilston Street Island and Ring Road (anticlockwise). It is
anticipated that the closure will operate from
10 September 2026 until 17 September 2026.
l Left Hand Turn from Horseley Fields onto Corn Hill closed.
Vehicular Diversion Route: Horseley Fields, Union Mill
Street and Albion Street. It is anticipated that the closure
will operate from 25 September 2026 until 4 October 2026.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken between the dates specified above.
The Order is required to facilitate the installation of HV
electricity ducting for National Grid Electricity Distribution.
