CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE NO WAITING AT ANY TIME ON CLIFTON ROAD, HENLOW
Reason for proposal: The proposed restrictions are required for the purpose of avoiding danger to persons or other traffic, and for preventing the likelihood of such danger arising, as well as for facilitating the passage of traffic (including pedestrians) on the road. More specifically, vehicles currently park in close proximity to the bus stop, which prevents drivers behind a stationary bus from safely passing while the bus is boarding or alighting passengers. This results in traffic becoming stationary for extended periods and creates a potential hazard for both road users and pedestrians.
Effect of the Order:
To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following length of road in Henlow:-
1. C lifton Road, from a point in line with the eastern flank wall of No. 2 Clifton Road (Henlow Motor Group), being the point where the existing double yellow lines terminate, and extending north-west for a distance of approximately 30 metres to the south-eastern edge of the existing bus stop markings.
2. C lifton Road, from the eastern kerbline of its junction with Crossways Close and extending south-east for a distance of approximately 12 metres to the north-western edge of the existing bus stop markings.
3. Clifton Road, from the western kerbline of its junction with John Howland Close and extending north-west for a distance of approximately 9.5 metres to the south-eastern edge of the existing bus stop markings.
4. Clifton Road, from the eastern kerbline of its junction with John Howland Close and extending south-east for a distance of approximately 22 metres to the point where the existing double yellow lines terminate Details may also be viewed online at www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/publicstatutorynotices

Effect of the Order:
To reduce the national speed limit to 40mph on the following length of road in Langford:-
1. Langford Road, from a point approximately 29.5 metres north of the shared property boundary between Rookery Nook and Homestead and extending south for approximately 67 metres.
