Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

SEVENOAKS AREA

A225 High Street, Sevenoaks, TN13 1HS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of an electrical connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A225 High Street, Sevenoaks, on or after 26th August 2026 for up to 1 night between 20.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Sevenoaks School.

The alternative route is via A225 Tonbridge Road, A225 Riverhill, Weald Interchange, A21 Sevenoaks ByPass, A25 Westerham Road, A25 Worships Hill, A25 The Square, A224 Amherst Hill, A224 London Road and vice versa.



A225 Riverhill, Sevenoaks, TN15 0RS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of the replacement of a streetlight column, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit northbound traffic on part of A225 Riverhill, Sevenoaks, on or after 3rd September 2026 for up to 1 night between 21.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed northbound from Morleys Roundabout to just past the end of the central island barrier.

The alternative route is via Weald Interchange, A21 Sevenoaks Bypass, A25 Westerham Road, A25 Worships Hill, A224 Amherst Hill, A224 London Road, A225 High Street, A225 Tonbridge Road and A225 Riverhill.



B2026 Hartfield Road, Edenbridge, TN8 5PL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of carriageway retexturing works, refresh all lining and replace rubber insert in Halifax Studs, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2026 Hartfield Road, Edenbridge, on or after 10th September 2026 for up to 1 night between 20.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Lydens Lane and B2028 Marsh Green Lane.

The alternative route is via B2026 Hartfield Road, B2028 Marsh Green Road, B2028 Moor Lane, B2028 Racecourse Road, B2028 Town Hill, B2028 High Street, B2028 Plaistow Street, B2028 Newchapel Road, A22 Eastbourne Road, A22 London Road, A264 Moat Road, A264 Cranston Road, A264 Blackwell Road, A264 Holtye Road, A264 Colestock Road, B2026 Hartfield Road and vice versa.



B2027 Tonbridge Road, Bough Beech, TN8 7AJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of the clearance of vegetation and replace existing height signs works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2027 Tonbridge Road, Bough Beech, on or after 7th September 2026 for up to 4 nights between 22.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the railway bridge.

The alternative route is via B2027 Chequers Hill, B2027 Clinton Lane, B2027 Bough Beech Road, B2042 Ide Hill Road, B2042 Green Lane, B2042 Ide Hill Road, B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill, B2042 Cold Arbor Road, A25 Worships Hill, A25 The Square, A224 Amherst Hill, A224 London Road, A225 High Street, A225 Tonbridge Road, A225 Riverhill, B245 London Road, B245 Tonbridge Road, B2027 Leigh Road, B2027 Stocks Green Road, B2027 Hildenborough Road. B2027 High Street, B2027 Penshurst Road, B2027 Tonbridge Road and vice versa.



B2211 Sundridge Road, Dunton Green, TN14 6HB (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow UK Power Networks works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily impose a mandatory 30MPH speed limit on through traffic on B2211 Sundridge Road, Dunton Green. The current 60MPH speed limit will be suspended for the duration of these works.

Works are planned from 24th August 2026, with estimated completion by 28th August 2026.

B2211 Sundridge Road will have a mandatory 30MPH speed limit. The current speed limit be suspended between Chevening Road and Star Hill Road, for the duration of these works.



Cotmans Ash Lane, Kemsing, TN15 6XD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of the laying of approx. 680M of new water main, connection and transfer services, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cotmans Ash Lane, Kemsing, on or after 24th August 2026 to 18th October 2026 or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Clarkes Green Road to Ashdown Bungalow.

The alternative route is via Clarkes Green Lane, Birchin Cross Road, Row Dow, Pilgrims Way, Childsbridge Lane, West End, High Street, Heaverham Road and vice versa.



French Street, Westerham, TN16 1PN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of French Street, Westerham, on or after 8th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approx 140m east of entrance to Gilhams Farm.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.



Hever Road, Edenbridge, TN8 5LD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of pole testing works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hever Road, Edenbridge, on or after 7th September 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Phillippines Close for approx. 420m eastwards.

The alternative route is via Hever Road, Uckfield Lane, Buckhurst, Cowden Pound Road, B2026 Stick Hill/Hartfield Road/Mill Hill and vice versa.



High Street, Edenbridge, TN8 5LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of a new water connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Edenbridge, on or after 7th September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 83.

The alternative route is via High Street, B2026 Mont St Aignan Way, Station Road and vice versa.



High Street, Otford, TN14 5PL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of the installation of a new electricity and water supply for a customer, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Otford, on or after 24th August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 92.

The alternative route is via A225 Sevenoaks/Otford Road, A25 Bradbourne Vale Road/Maidstone Road, A224 London Road, Pilgrims Way West and vice versa.



Lower Road, Hextable, BR8 7QF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of an electrical service upgrade of a customer supply, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Road, Hextable, on or after 28th August 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed adjacent to 14 Home Hill.

The alternative route is via Lower Road, Goss Hill, B258 Barn End Lane, B258 Top Dartford Road, Home Hill and vice versa.



New Barn Road, Swanley (PROHIBITION OF EASTBOUND TRAFFIC) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because a concert is being held in Swanley Park, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting eastbound traffic on New Barn Road, Swanley, on or after 28 August 2026 for up to 1 evening between 16.00hrs and 21.30hrs.

The alternative route is via College Road, B238 Main Road/Swanley Lane.



Pilgrims Way, Westerham, TN16 2DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Westerham, on or after 25th August 2026 for up to 2 days between 08.00hrs and 16.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Betsoms Farm.

The alternative route is via A223 London Road, A25 Market Square, A25 High Street, B2024 Croydon Road, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.



Station Road, Edenbridge, TN8 5HS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, NO LEFT/RIGHT HAND TURNS & SUSPEND CYCLE LANE) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of a storm water connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Station Road, Edenbridge, on or after 12th September 2026 for up to 54 days or until the works have been completed. The right/left turn from B2026 Station Road into Station Road will be prohibited and the cycle lane will be suspended.

Station Road will be closed southbound between B2026 Station Road and Station Approach.

The no right/left turn from B2026 Station Road into Station Road will be prohibited.

Station Road will be closed between Minstrels Close and WI Hall

The cycle lane will be suspended between B2026 Station Road and Minstrels Close.

The alternative routes are via:

B2026 Mont St Aignan Way, High Street.

B2026 Mont St Aignan Way/Station Road.



Stones Cross Road, Crockenhill, BR8 8JL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of access to telegraph poles in order to provide fibre overhead cabling, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic Stones Cross Road, Crockenhill, on or after 10th September 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for the entire length.

The alternative route is via Green Court Road, B258 Green Court Road and vice versa.



Washneys Road, Orpington, BR6 7NZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Washneys Road, Orpington, on or after 7th September 2026 for up to 2 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for the entire length.

The alternative route is via Perrys Lane, Stubbs Hill, Singles Cross Lane, Blueberry Lane, Main Road, Shelleys Lane, New Years Lane and vice versa.
