What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(ACCESS ROAD OFF BRICK KILN LANE AND LADYBROOK LANE, MANSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) NOTICE 2026 (M26-142A)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Mansfield in the District of Mansfield The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road: 
Access Road off Brick Kiln lane and Ladybrook lane, Mansfield- For its entire length.

2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 00:01 hours on Saturday 22nd August 2026.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Ladybrook Lane, Brick Kiln Lane and Vice versa.

This Order will come into force on Saturday 22nd August 2026 and continues the restrictions introduced by the 5-day notice M26-142 which came into force on Tuesday 17th August 2026 for a maximum of 18 months. 

The Prohibition is required due to the likelihood of danger to the public due to open excavations.
