What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DARTFORD AREA

Brent Lane, Dartford, DA1 1YS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of sewer repair works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brent Lane, Dartford, on or after 28th August 2026 for up to 2 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed. The one way will be suspended to allow access.

The road will be closed between numbers 99 and 107.

The alternative route is via A226 Park Road/East Hill, York Road, Brent Lane and vice versa.



Brentlands Drive & Princes View, Dartford, DA1 1RT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of gas main replacement works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Brentlands Drive and Princes View, Dartford.

The roads will be closed for their entire lengths.

Brentlands Drive is planned from 7th September 2026, with estimated completion by 5th October 2026.

Princes View is planned from 21st September 2026, with estimated completion by 12th October 2026.

There are no alternative routes but access will be maintained when safe to do so.



Clement Street, Swanley, BR8 7PF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Clement Street, Swanley, on or after 25th August 2026 for up to 1 day between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for the entire length.

The alternative route is via Clement Street, Goss Hill, B258 Barn End Lane/High Road/Church Hill, A225 Hawley Road/Main Road, Arnolds Lane and vice versa.
