HYSBYSIR drwy hyn fod Cyngor Dinas Casnewydd, wrth arfer ei bwerau o dan Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd), yn bwriadu o fewn 7 diwrnod o ddyddiad yr hysbysiad hwn i wneud gorchymyn a fydd yn gwahardd unrhyw gerbyd rhag symud ar hyd Ringwood Hill, Casnewydd (a elwir hefyd yn Glanwern Avenue, Casnewydd). Mae’r llwybr amgen ar hyd Ringwood Hill, Ringwood Avenue a B4237 Chepstow Road, Casnewydd. Y rheswm dros wneud y gorchymyn yw oherwydd gwaith ar y brif bibell ddwr. Bydd y gorchymyn arfaethedig yn weithredol o 5 Medi 2026 a bydd yn para am gyfnod o 18 mis neu hyd nes y bydd y gwaith wedi’i gwblhau, os yw’n gynharach. Disgwylir i’r gwaith bara 9 diwrnod. NEWPORT CITY COUNCIL (RINGWOOD HILL (GLANWERN AVENUE), NEWPORT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that Newport City Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intends not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Ringwood Hill, Newport (also known as Glanwern Avenue, Newport). The alternative route is via Ringwood Hill, Ringwood Avenue and B4237 Chepstow Road, Newport. The reason for making the order is due to water main works. The proposed order will be operative from 5th September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months or until works have been completed, if earlier. The anticipated duration of the works is 9 days. Pedestrian access will be available and emergency access will be made quickly available.
