(A128 Ongar Road, Kelvedon Hatch) (Appetite on the Farm) (Special Event) (Temporary 30MPH Speed Limit) Order 2026
Road Description
A128 Ongar Road, Kelvedon Hatch Approximately 250 metres south of the entrance of Kelvedon Hall, north for approximately 750 metres
The above road is currently national speed limit.
The Essex County Council (Brentwood Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-street parking) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the said lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The temporary restrictions are scheduled to commence on 29 August 2026 to 30 August 2026 between the hours of 0800 and 2359 and are required for public safety while the Appetite on the Farm event takes place.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained across all closure points The Order will come into effect 29 August 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the event has been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Byron Road, Hutton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Byron Road, Hutton in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Coleridge Walk for a distance of approximately 25m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th September 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411002WGKRC88L – Openreach).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Byron Road, Kingsley Road, Tennyson Road, Hanging Hill Lane, Hutton Drive, Quennell Way and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ingatestone Road, Blackmore in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 190m north east of its junction with Wenlocks Lane for a distance of approximately 45m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd September 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WH1DWT0N – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Ingatestone Road, Chelmsford Road, Blackmore Road, Ingatestone Road, Ivy Barn Lane, Writtle Road, Wantz Road, B1002, Thoby Lane, Swallows Cross Road, Mountnessing Road, Ingatestone Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 26th August 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, Borough of Brentwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.8) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Borough of Brentwood as specified in the schedule.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on those lengths of road as specified in the schedule. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Brentwood Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 26th August 2026 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter / leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the roads.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chivers Road, Stondon Massey in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 345m north east of its junction with School Road for a distance of approximately 115m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd September 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WH1GLJ1P – Openreach). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Hall Green Lane, Hutton in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point 80m south east of its junction with Kingsley Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a south easterly direction.
2. To temporarily suspend the 7.5t weight restriction in that length of Hanging Hall Lane from its junction with Hall Green Lane to its junction with Park Avenue, as detailed in ‘Brentwood Borough Council (7.5 Tonnes Weight Restriction) Order 1994’ for the duration of the above closure only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 3rd September 2026 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WH1GW75H – Openreach).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/ or displayed on one.network. The closure/suspension is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Hall Green Lane, Kingsley Road, Byron Road, Shelley Road and vice versa or Hall Green Lane, Hanging Hall Lane, Park Avenue and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 12th August 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
