Plymouth - Off-Street Parking Places Order
What is happening?
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH
(OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES)
(AMENDMENT ORDER NO.2026.2137364) ORDER
Notice is hereby given that PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL proposes to make the above named Order under its powers 32, 33, 35 and 124 and Parts I to IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as the 1984 Act) and all other powers enabling them in that behalf and following consultation in accordance with Schedule 9 of the 1984 Act and the Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996:
The effect of the order shall be to:
1. Adelaide Street car park - Introduce an off-street parking place order with up to three hours free parking, no return within 2 hours with Zone P permit holders exempt
2. Alexandra Road car park - Revise the three hours free parking, no return within 2 hours from applying at all hours to applying between 08:00 and 18:00.
3. East End Square - Introduce an off-street parking place order with pedestrian zone permit parking at all times.
4. Francis Place car park and Francis Street car park - Introduce an off-street parking place order with Zone A permit parking at all times.
5. Mount Batten Pier car park and Richmond Walk car park - Introduce an off-street parking place order with an overnight motorhome / camper ban between the hours of 23:00 and 08:00.
6. Plymstock Broadway car park - Merge the existing short-stay and long-stay parking provisions into a single parking place order and introduce a monthly parking session option.
7. Strand Street car park - Introduce up to two hours free parking and over three hours (up to 24 hours) £2 with Zone T permit holders exempt.
8. The Hoe Promenade - Introduce an off-street parking place order for Disabled Person's Parking Badge parking only, with charges and a maximum stay of 5 hours with no return within 2 hours, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00. Closed 18:00 to 08:00.
9. Union Place car park - Introduce an off-street parking place order with Zone P permit parking at all times.
