What is happening?

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)
The County of Cornwall (Bellair Road, Madron) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Madron.

This prohibition is necessary for tree works and it is expected that the closure will be from 15th September 2026 to 16th September 2026. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0730 and 1700, weekdays only.

Road affected - Bellair Road, Madron between the junctions of Church Road and B3312 Between Fore Street Madron And Heamoor.

The County of Cornwall (Access To Chypone Estate, Nancledra) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Nancledra.

This prohibition is necessary for water connection works and it is expected that the closure will be from 14th September 2026 to 16th September 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only.

Road affected - Access To Chypone Estate, Nancledra between grid references SW4963836011 and SW4966836010.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 17th August 2026 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned lengths of road in St Just.

This prohibition is necessary for cabling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 2nd September 2026, for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1530, weekdays only.

Roads affected - South Place, St Just between the junction of Fore Street and Road From South Place To Carallack Lane, A3071 Carn Bosavern, St Just between the junction of Fore Street and Higher Gews Close, Access to Boscean, St Just between the junction of Boswedden Road and grid reference SW3670331667 and Fore Street, Boswedden Road and Pednandrea, St Just for their entire lengths.

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council is under the above Order dated 11th March 2026 continuing to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Footpath 83, St Just-in-Penwith between grid references SW3631531590 and SW3630031655.

The Order which commenced on the 12th March 2026 and is currently in force for up to six months will now continue until the 18th July 2027. The continuance of this Order, which was to have expired on the 18th August 2026 has been approved by the Secretary of State for Transport.

The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The Council is satisfied that this further restriction is necessary owing to engineering difficulties and the Order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to a collapsed adit.

Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council is under the above Order dated 18th February 2026 continuing to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Footpath 17, Ludgvan between grid references SW51297 33449 and SW51385 33572.

The Order which commenced on the 19th February 2026 and is currently in force for up to six months will now continue until the 16th August 2027. The continuance of this Order, which was to have expired on the 16th August 2026 has been approved by the Secretary of State for Transport.

The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The Council is satisfied that this further restriction is necessary owing to engineering difficulties and the Order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to a damaged bridge.

Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Gwinear.

This prohibition is necessary for road hump installation works and it is expected that the closure will be from 17th September 2026 to 18th September 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only.

Road affected - Rosewarne Road, Gwinear between the junction of Gwinear Lane and grid reference SW6136537139.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council is under the above Order dated 8th March 2026 continuing to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Footpath 94 in the Parish of St Buryan, Lamorna and Paul for its entire length.

The Order which commenced on the 9th March 2026 and is currently in force for up to six months will now continue until the 15th February 2027. The continuance of this Order, which was to have expired on the 15th August 2026 has been approved by the Secretary of State for Transport.

The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The Council is satisfied that this further restriction is necessary owing to engineering difficulties and the Order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public during works to repair flood damage which has washed away the footpath surface.

Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 30th August 2026 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Treeve Lane Connor Downs between grid references SW57935 39452 and SW57949 39459.

The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to a hole in the road and unsafe for road users.

The Order will come into operation on 31st August 2026 and the works are expected to be completed by the 10th November 2026.

The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The road was previously closed for reasons of public safety by notice under Section 14(2) of the RTRA 1984 from the 10th August 2026 fora period of 21 days.

Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above.

Pedestrian access to residents and businesses will be maintained.
