EXTENSION PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.33 (PART) LONG EATON
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Derbyshire County Council on 19 February 2026 under Section 14 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which was to close part of Footpath No.33 Long Eaton to facilitate public safety during the construction of a new footbridge off Broad Street, has been further continued.
WHEN: 24 August to 21 September 2026.
WHERE: Closed from Lawrence Street to the B6540 Tamworth Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: From the closure at SK488 331 off Tamworth Road, travel Northeast on Tamworth Road, turn West down Broad Street then North along Milner Road, then west along Lawrence Road to meet Footpath No.33.
Vice versa in the other direction.
During the closure period access may be maintained whenever reasonably possible on the affected length of footpath. The footpath will be re-opened as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
