NOTICE OF MAKING OF PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

The Oxfordshire County Council,

North Newington Footpaths Nos. 1 (part) & 4 (part), Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2026

The Order made on 3 August 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting, as shown on the Order map:

North Newington FP1 running from OS Grid Ref SP 4218 3990 north-eastwards for 25m to SP 4220 3991 and eastnorth-eastwards for 159m to SP 4236 3993 to a new line running from OS Grid Ref SP 4218 3990 north-northeastwards for 33m to SP 42199 39933 and eastwards for 163m via SP 42201 39935 and SP 4221 3993 to SP 4236 3993 ; and

North Newington FP4 running from OS Grid Ref SP 42201 39938 eastwards for 171m to a junction with FP1 and FP2 at SP 4237 3993 to a new line running from OS Grid Ref SP 42201 39938 southwards for 4m to FP1 at SP 42201 39935.

A copy can also be obtained on request from rightsofwaylegal@oxfordshire.gov.uk

Any representations about or objections to the Orders may be sent in writing to Rights of Way Legal, Oxfordshire County Council, County Hall, New Road, Oxford OX1 1ND or rightsofwaylegal@oxfordshire.gov.uk no later than 11 September 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Oxfordshire County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
