Belmont Road, Southampton - Temporary Road Closure due to Water Works

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council intends to make the above Order.

1. The effect of the Order will be to close Belmont Road from No.32 Belmont Road to No.52 Belmont Road.
2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are to relay a water comms pipe.
3. The alternative route will be Belmont Road, Osborne Road South, Dukes Road, Thomas Lewis Way and St Denys Road.
4. The Order will come into force on 1st September 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 4th September 2026.
