Notice is given that THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following Order:-
The effect of the Order is to introduce a number of waiting restrictions and disabled persons parking bays on following length of roads Dover in the District of Dover: -
Cambridge Road - Removal of Loading Bay on western side, addition of Limited Waiting Mon-Sat 8.30 to 5.30 1 hr no return for 2 hours residents permit E. Addition of 4 spaces on old unnamed road (now part of Cambridge Road) to Limited Waiting Mon-Sat 8.30 to 5.30 1 hr no return for 2 hours residents permit E. Chapel Lane footpath - Extension of current DYL’s to the edge of the building on both sides of the highway. On the southern side to a total length of 24.2 meters and, the northern side a total length of 50.8 metres. Church Street – (1) To the Eastern side (Stembrook Court) a half-shared bay, coach drop off 20 mins/no return within 1 hour (April-Oct) & limited wait Mon - Sat 8.30am-5.30pm cars & motorcycles only, 20 mins no return within 1hour (November-March). (2) The other half of the coach bay, to be changed to Mon - Sat 8.30am-5.30pm cars & motorcycles, 20 mins no return within 1hours. (3) The western side to be updated to disabled bays & Limited waiting Mon - Sat 8.30am-5.30pm, 20 mins no return within 1hrs. (4) 4.2 metres of Double Yellow Lines directly next to the most southerly disabled bay to be removed. Coombe Valley Road - Extension of an existing payment zone by a length of 17.5 metres - Payment Parking Mon-Sat 9am-6pm Max stay 2 hrs/permit holders only (K) Mon-Sat 9am - 6pm on the northwestern side. Fishmongers Lane - Addition of Double Yellow Lines and No Loading at any time restrictions for entire road on both sides. Fitness Fields - Introduction of 23 new free parking spaces and reduction in Double Yellow Lines Douglas Road - Addition of corner protection Double Yellow Lines to existing double yellow lines from Goshen Road into the entrance to Douglas Road, extending Double yellow lines into Douglas Road entrance, a total of 35.1 metres. Lewisham Road - 1) Addition of charging only regulations Electric Vehicle recharging point at all times 2) 8.30am-6.30pm max stay 4 hrs. No return within 4 Hours Park Place - Removal of undersized single Limited Waiting Bay outside No 17 Park Place.
Park Road - Addition of single yellow lines waiting restriction Mon-Fri 8am-9.30am -2.30pm-4pm between 1st September until 31st July on both sides of the road at the junction with Brookfield Avenue for a distance of 12.3 metres on the northwest side and 12 metres on the southeastern side.
Brookfield Avenue - Addition of single yellow lines waiting restriction Mon-Fri 8am-9.30am -2.30pm-4pm between 1st September until 31st July on both sides of junction with Park Road for a distance of 10 metres on the northeast side and 11.7 metres on the north eastern side.
Russell Street - Change from the current Pay & Display spaces to Limited Waiting spaces 1h hour no return in 4 hours, Mon-Sat 8am until 6.30pm on the southwest side of the road for a distance of 41.6 metres.

The Quay/Knightrider Street 1) Extension from the current Single Yellow Lines on the northeastern side additional Double Yellow Lines for 26 metres to the junction of Ramsgate Street on the Northeastern side.2) Addition of No Loading at Any Time restriction for a distance of 20.7 metres at the junction of Knightrider Street to the northeastern and northwestern side of The Bell Hotel.3) Addition of no loading at any time to the existing Single Yellow Lines and extended Double Yellow Lines on The Quay for a distance for 34.9 metres to the junction of Ramsgate Road, on both sides of the highway - Ramsgate Road - Addition of Double Yellow Lines for a distance of 2.8 metres, Single Yellow lines and No Loading at any time at the junction of Ramsgate Road, on the Southeastern side and a distance of 5.6 metres on the northwestern side. High Street - Addition of Double Yellow Lines and No loading at any tine restriction to the High Street for a distance of 2.8 metres to the partial frontage of no 2, the addition of double yellow lines and No loading at any time, for the entire southern side of the Barbican Toll House. Harnet Street -1) Removal of Doctor Permit holders only parking place. 2) Introduce Limited Waiting restriction - Monday to Saturday 8.30am-5.30pm, 1hour no return in 2 hours/permit holders (J). 3) Reduce the size of the existing parking bay from the southern side at The Butchery by 2.5 metres.

Broad Street - Addition of No Loading at Any Time restriction on the Southern side, from the junction of Beach Street to the junction of Middle Street for a distance of 29.9 metres. Granville Road - Addition of double yellow lines at the junction of Knoll Place at each side of the junction for a distance of 10 metres on the northwestern side and 12.1 metres on the southeastern side of the junction. Knoll Place - On both side sides of the junction with Granville Road addition of Double Yellow Lines, for a distance of 16.4 metres of the southeastern side, and 17.5 metres of the western side. Marine Road - 1) Addition of a Loading Only Bay at the southern point, on the eastern side 2) On the Northern side, to the east of the current disable persons parking bays, to be changed to limited waiting 2 hours no return in 4 hours – Non-resident Permit. 3) On the western side No loading at any time restriction to be added to the existing double Yellow Lines the southwestern corner 4) On the northern side No loading at any time restriction to be added to the existing double Yellow Lines the southeastern corner 5) On the eastern side, all current non restricted parking places to be changed to Limited waiting bays 2 hours no return in 4 hours Non-resident Permit 6) On the Southern side, all current non restricted parking places to be changed to Limited waiting bays, 2 hours no return in 4 hours Non-resident Permit. Prince of Wales Terrace - Removal of current coach only bay – addition of Payment parking Mon-Sat 8am-6pm 2 hours no return in 1 hour. Sandown Road - Introduction of No waiting for motor caravans between the hours of 6pm - 6am on both sides of the road, from the Community Castle Gardens to the junction with Godwyn Road.
Walmer - Dover Road - Addition of Limited Waiting restriction, 20 minutes No return within 2 hours, at all times on the northwestern side, across the frontages of 325 - 315
NEW Disabled Persons Parking Places – Deal Granville Street – across the frontage of 17 - Palmerston Avenue – across the frontage of 22 - St Richards Road – across the full frontage of 376 -St Richards Road – across the partial frontages of 376 and 37.
