TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council intends to make the above Order.
- The effect of the Order will be to close Howards Grove from its junction with Shirley High Street to its junction with Cannon Street.
- The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are for electric infrastructure improvements.
- The alternative route will be Shirley High Street, Shirley Avenue and Vincent Road.
- The Order will come into force on 31st August 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 11th September 2026.
