(WENTWORTH TERRACE, FITZWILLIAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 246) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to complete works on telecoms mast to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Wentworth Terrace, Fitzwilliam, 400 metres east of the junction. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Wentworth Terrace.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion, pedestrian access maintained.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 20th August 2026 between 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(SKINNER LANE, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 253) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to uplift the level crossing for inspections, complete any repairs and defects within the work site to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Skinner Lane, Pontefract. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Skinner Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Ladybalk Lane, Monkhill Lane, Mill Dam Lane, North Baileygate, Northgate & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 30th August 2026 between 00.01 hours to 08.30 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Residents access to be maintained where possible.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY 50MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER (NO 254) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for bridge repairs to be carried out as follows:-
ROADS AFFECTED: A162, Ferrybridge from the district boundary to the Ferrybridge Services roundabout.
SPEED LIMIT: Temporary 50 MPH speed limit.
PERIOD OF ORDER: From and including 1st September 2026 to 1st March 2028 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 256) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for new electrical connection & fuse upgrade, Northern Powergrid to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Doncaster Square, Knottingley for approximately 20 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Doncaster Square.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 1st September 2026 to 9th September 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for BT blockage clearance to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Robinson Street, Pontefract. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Robinson Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Walkergate, Southgate.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 3rd September 2026 to 4th September 2026 between 07.00 hours to 17.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Residents access to be maintained where possible.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 258) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for installation of drop crossing to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Ladybalk Lane, Pontefract. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Ladybalk Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Monkhill Avenue & Skinner Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 28th August 2026 to 16th October 2026 between 07.00 hours to 17.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Residents access to be maintained where possible.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
