THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under Sections 5, 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, the effect of which will be: To revoke the following order in full:
ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 1960
THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF THE ADMINIISTRATIVE COUNTY OF LEICESTER (RESTRICTED ROADS) (NO. 2.) ORDER 1962
To impose a 20 MPH speed limit for the entire lengths of the following Roads:
Main Street, Priory View, Hunters Rise and Washdyke Lane, Kirby Bellars
A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan illustrating the proposals and an explanatory statement giving the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected until 4th September 2026, during normal office hours at my offices,
Room 200, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester, LE3 8RA on the Council’s website at https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/roads-andtravel/cars-and-parking/traffic-management-consultations, at the offices of Melton Borough Council, Parkside, Station Approach, Burton Street, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, LE13 1GH and on the notice board at Kirby Bellars Parish Council. All documents relating to the proposal will remain available on request, in compliance with statute by contacting legalpropertyandenvironment@leics.gov.uk
Objections to the proposals, specifying the grounds on which they are made, should be sent in writing to the undersigned by not later than 4th September 2026, quoting reference TL/HTWMT/6225.

Main Street, Main Road, Church Corner, Church Lane, Bakers Lane, Drift Hill, Easthorpe Lane, Post Office Lane, and Belvoir Road, Redmile.
A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan illustrating the proposals and an explanatory statement giving the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected until 4th September 2026, during normal office hours at my offices,
