THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders and will commence when the appropriate signs are erected. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.
BARKESTONE LANE, BOTTESFORD
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
It is expected that the Order will come into force on 20/09/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 2 days to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake repairs to defective iron work in the carriageway.

The works may last for up to 3 days to allow MJ Quinn on behalf of BT Openreach to undertake telegraph pole replacement works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Klondyke Ln, Thorpe Satchville; From Ashby Folville Rd To Pasture Ln, Ashby Foville Rd, Station Rd, Top End, Great Dalby; B6047 & vice versa.

The proposed diversion route will be via: High St, Belvoir Rd, Bottesford; A52, Station Rd, Bottesford Ln, Orston & vice versa.

The proposed diversion route will be via: School Hill, Church Ln, Stow Hill, Buckminster Rd, Main St & vice versa.

The Order will come into force on 22/08/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works last for up to 21 days to allow Newline Civil Engineering Ltd to undertake carriageway resurfacing & other associated S278 works. The diversion route will be signed on site.
