(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

SHILDON STREET AND HENRY STREET BACK STREET, DARLINGTON

Darlington Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close:

SHILDON STREET AND HENRY STREET

BACK STREET

From the eastern boundary of 11 Shildon Street eastwards to the western boundary of 21 Shildon Street

An alternative route will be signed via North Road East Back, Henry Street, Gurney Street West Back and vice versa.

The Order is necessary to allow works by Northumbrian Water to repair the sewer.

The maximum duration of the temporary closure under this Order is 18 months commencing from 7th September 2026, it is anticipated that it will be effective for 1 week.
