(Balcombe: Public Footpath 10-1Ba) 

(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Public Footpath 10-1Ba in Balcombe from its junction with Haywards Heath Road, westwards to its junction with London Road (B2036).

The closure of this route is needed to safely allow maintenance works to be carried out on an adjacent railway embankment. The Order will come into effect on 1 September 2026 and remain in force until 28 February 2027. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 6 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times. ((Mid Sussex District) (Parking Places & Traffic Regulation)

(Consolidation No.2) Order 2006) (Haywards Heath: Rocky Lane (A272) and  Cedar Avenue Amendment) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that WSCC has recently made a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to enact the recently installed restriction prohibiting waiting at any time at the junction of Rocky Lane (A272) with Cedar Avenue in Haywards Heath.

A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 17 August 2026, together with plans showing the affected lengths of road may be viewed on the WSCC website. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of this Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within

6 weeks from 30 September 2021, apply to the High Court for

(East Grinstead: College Lane)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close College Lane in East Grinstead from Estcots Drive to De La Warr Road.

The road closure is needed to allow maintenance to the railway bridge to be carried out in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 17 August 2026 and remain in force until 28 August 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Lindfield Rural: Scamps Hill) 

(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Scamps Hill in Lindfield Rural, from a point 120m west of Sage Avenue, westwards for 70m.

The road closure is needed to allow repairs to a culvert to be carried out in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 1 September 2026 and remain in force until 2 October 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.
