Springfield Road - Parking Restriction Amendments for Two Zebra Crossings

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS, SOUTH LAKELAND AREA)(CONSOLIDATION OF TRAFFIC REGULATIONS) (ORDER 2023) VARIATION (NO. 5) ORDER 2026

1. Westmorland and Furness Council hereby give notice that on 11 August 2026 it made the above Order under Sections 1(1) and 2(1) to (4), 32, 35, 35A, 47, 49 and 64 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The Order will come into operation on 11 August 2026 and its effect will be to amend parking restrictions on various sections of the C5033 Springfield Road, Ulverston, to facilitate the installation of two zebra crossings, as set out on drawings SFRU.01 – SFRU.04, and indicated at the locations marked P1 – P22.

3. Full details of the Order, together with plans showing the lengths of road concerned, and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order, may be:-

(ii) on deposit at South Lakeland House, Lowther Street, Kendal LA9 4DQ; and

(iii) at the offices of the undersigned; and

4. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made there under has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks of 11 September apply to the High Court for this purpose.
