What is happening?

THE COUNCIL HAS MADE
(Public Footpath No. 41A/1 & Public Bridleway No’s 42/1 & 42/2, Parish of Princes Risborough) (Temporary Footpath & Bridleway Closure) Order 2026 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath & Bridleways commencing at the junction of ORR/BW/42/1 and Longwick Road and continuing south to the junction of PRR/BW/42/2 and Leo Crescent. At the junction of PRR/BW/42/1, PRR/BW/42/2 & PRR/FP/41A/1 the path will continue over the railway line for approximately 30M. Alternative route is via existing highway. The closure is required to resurface the path in the interest of public safety. The Order will come into operation on 10 August 2026, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
(Public Footpath No. 1/1, Parish of Stoke Poges) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2026 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath No. 1/1, from the junction of STP/FP/1/1 & Stoke Road, continuing west to the junction of STP/FP/1/2 and STP/FP/2/1. The Alternative route is along Fir Tree Avenue. The closure is required to allow for works to proceed in accordance with the approved development of the South Bucks Country Club. The Order will come into operation on 7 August 2026, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
(Public Footpath No. 30/1, Parish of Aylesbury) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2026 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath No. 30/1, Parish of Aylesbury, from either side of the Bear Brook Footbridge. (Highbridge Footbridge to be closed). The closure is required to enable cleaning of the foul drainage system underneath Bear Brood Bridge. The Alternative route is approximately 100M south west, 300M to walk either along Grand Union Canal embankment by the Travel Lodge Hotel, or via Exchange Street around the car park. The Order will come into operation on 10 August 2026, when the appropriate signs are lawfully displayed and will continue for a period not exceeding six months or until the said works have been completed whichever is the earlier. Penalties for not observing these restrictions will be as prescribed in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.
THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE
(Public Footpath No. 4/4, Parish of Little Missenden) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2026 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath commencing at the junction of LMI/FP/4/4 & Hare Lane, continuing south for approximately 125m to the junction of LMI/FP/4/4 and Windsor Lane. Alternative route is a via existing highway. The closure is required for public safety whilst works are occurring to re-surface the path. The Order will come into operation on 21 August 2026, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
