NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
- that length of A411 Hempstead Road, Watford from its junction with the A41 North Western Avenue/M25 (Junction 9) roundabout south eastwards to its junction with A411 Hyde Road, a distance of approximately 3218m.
An alternative route will be via A41 North Western Avenue, A412 St Albans Road and A411 Hempstead Road or via A411 (Hyde Road/The Avenue), A412 St Albans Road and A41 North Western Avenue.
- that length of A411 Hyde Road, Watford from its northernmost junction with A411 Hempstead Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 35m.
An alternative route will be via A411 Hempstead Road, A41 North Western Avenue, A412 St Albans Road and A411 Hempstead Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect on 1 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 nights to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CAMBRIDGE ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cambridge Road, Watford from its junction with Granville Road south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with A411 Exchange Road, a distance of approximately 110m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Granville Road, King Street and A411 (Exchange Road/Beechen Grove/Exchange Road) or via A411 (Exchange Road/Beechen Grove), Water Lane, High Street, King Street, Smith Street, The Crescent and Granville Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
- that length of Station Road, Rickmansworth from its junction with High Street north westwards to its junction with Station Approach, a distance of approximately 148m.
An alternative route will be via High Street, Church Street, A404 Riverside Drive, A412 Rectory Road and Station Approach or via Homestead Road, A412 (Park Road/Rectory Road), A404 Riverside Drive, Church Street and High Street.
- that length of High Street, Rickmansworth from its junction with Northway north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Parsonage Road, a distance of approximately 296m.
An alternative route will be via Church Street, A404 Riverside Drive and Wensum Way.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON COMPTON PLACE, CARPENDERS PARK) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Compton Place, Carpenders Park from its junction with St Georges Drive north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 556m (“the Road”), except for access.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footpath (“the Footpaths”):-
- the footpath situated between No.1 Barkston Path and No.2 Walshford Way, Borehamwood from its junction with Thirsk Road south westwards, north westwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 180m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south west and north west sides of Thirsk Road and the footpath situated on the north east side of No.12 Barkston Path.
- the footpath situated between No.10 and No.12 Walshford Way, Borehamwood from a point in line with the north western boundary of No.10 Walshford Way south westwards for a distance of approximately 36m.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
- the footpath fronting Nos.1-7 Goodwood Path, Borehamwood from its junction with Stratfield Road north westwards for its entire length.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (GALLOWS HILL LANE, ABBOTS LANGLEY) (REVOCATION OF PROHIBITION OF STOPPING) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act) to extend the 20 mph zone in Abbots Langley and to remove the existing School Keep Clear restrictions in parts of Abbots Langley as specified in the Schedules to this Notice. The Orders will come into effect on Friday 14 August 2026.
