(VARIOUS ROAD, WEST BRIDGFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) ORDER 2026 (R26-205)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at West Bridgford in the Borough of Rushcliffe
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Ropsley Crescent, West Bridgford - Whole length of the road.
b. Seymour Road, West Bridgford - From its junction with Trent Boulevard to a point 50 metres in a southerly direction.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading in the following length of road at West Bridgford in the Borough of Rushcliffe:-
a. Rutland Road, West Bridgford - (Both Sides) (At Any Time) - From its junction with Oakfields Road to its junction with Julian Road.
b. Gertude Road, West Bridgford - (Both Sides) (At Any Time) - From its junction with Rutland Road to its junction with Trent Boulevard.
c. Trent Boulevard, West Bridgford - (Both Sides) (At Any Time) - From its junction with Gertrude Road to its junction with Adbolton Lane.
d. Abbolton Lane, West Bridgford - (Both Sides) (At Any Time) - From its junction with Trent Boulevard to a point 50 metres in an easterly direction.
e. Pierrepont Road, West Bridgford - (Both Sides) (At Any Time) - From its junction with Trent Boulevard to its junction with Rutland Road.
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From Tuesday 31st August 2026
Until Friday 23rd December 2026 inclusive
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Ropsley Crescent, West Bridgford
Radcliffe Road - Vice Versa
b. Seymour Road, West Bridgford
Rutland Road - Julian Road - Trent Boulevard - Vice Versa
The Order will come into force on 31st August 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Cadent Gas to carry out mains replacement works.
