THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(EAST BRIDGFORD FOOTPATH NO.21) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION)
CONTINUATION NO.3 ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State Transport in pursuance of the powers conferred by Sections 14 and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 approves of The Nottinghamshire County Council (East Bridgford Footpath No.21) (Temporary Prohibition) Notice 2025 (which came into force on 19th February 2025 and was continued in force by a Continuation Order until 18th August 2025 and was then continued by a Continuation No.2 Order which remains in force until 18th August 2026 inclusive) being extended and continuing in force until 18th August 2027 or until completion of the relevant works, whichever is the sooner.
The Order has the following effect:-
No person shall: -
(a) proceed on foot, in the following length of Footpath at East Bridgford in the
Borough of Rushcliffe :-
East Bridgford Footpath No.21, from its junction with Holloway Close to the far side of thefirst field.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available for pedestrians will be as follows: -
Closes Side Lane or Butt Lane and vice versa
If the works are not completed within the above period the Order may be extended for a longer period with the further approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
The prohibition is required to protect public safety while approved housing development is constructed around the footpath.
