Notice is hereby given that Manchester City Council proposes to make the following Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The title and affect of the Orders will be as follows, City Of Manchester (Louisa Street, Shaw Park Close Area, Clayton and Openshaw) (Prohibition And Restriction Of Waiting, Prohibition Of Loading/Unloading) And (Amendment) Order 2026.
Proposed No Waiting At Any Time on: -
Shaw Park Close - both sides from a point 70 metres south-west of its junction with Louisa Street in a south-westerly direction for its entire length including the turning head.
Louisa Street - the south - west side from a point 10 metres south-east of its junction with Shaw Park Close to a point 10 metres north-west of its junction with Shaw Park Close in a northwesterly direction.
Shaw Park Close - both sides from its junction with Louisa Street for a distance of 10 metres in a south-westerly direction. Proposed No Waiting Monday to Friday 8.00am to 6.00pm on:
Louisa Street - the southwest side from a point 240 metres north-west of its junction with Ashton Old Road to a point 10 metres south-east of its junction with Shaw Park Close. Proposed No Loading at Any Time on:
Louisa Street - the south-west side from a point 10 metres south-east of its junction with Shaw Park Close to a point 10 metres north-west of its junction with Shaw Park Close in a north-westerly direction.
Shaw Park Close - both sides from its junction with Louisa Street for a distance of 10 metres in a south-westerly direction.
City Of Manchester (Shaw Park Close, Clayton And Openshaw) (20MPH Speed Limit Zone) Order 2026.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce 20MPH Speed limit on:
Shaw Park Close - From its junction with Louisa Street, for its entire length. Existing Orders have been amended to be consistent with the proposals.
Copies of the proposed Order together with the plans showing the proposals may be inspected at Customer Service Centre Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) between the hours of 9.00am and 4.30pm on Monday to Friday inclusive.
Please ensure that the Contact Centre is open before attending. If it is closed or you are unable to attend, a copy of the plan may be requested (without payment) by emailing phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or writing to the address at the end of this notice.
Objections to the proposals must be sent to me in writing to phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or the address below, stating the grounds on which they are made, no later than 7th September 2026.
