What is happening?

THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF NORTH TYNESIDE
FOOTPATH BETWEEN BOYD ROAD AND ST PETERS ROAD AT REAR OF BURNSIDE COLLEGE TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all pedestrians on the footpath between Boyd Road and St Peters Road at the rear of Burnside College.

An alternate route is available via footways on Boyd Road, High Street East, Church Road and St Peters Road.

The proposed temporary Order is required To safely cut back trees at danger of falling.

The Order will come into force on 25 August 2026 and lasting until 31 August.
