What is happening?

(Bonnetting Lane, Berden)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bonnetting Lane, Berden in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 30m north of its junction with Pelham Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th September 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGQNH37K – Openreach Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach Limited. No alternative route is available.

The Order will come into effect on 20th August 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mills Road, Clavering)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mills Road, Clavering in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Cock Lane to its junction with Mill Lane a distance of approximately 865m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th August 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2408383 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Plantation Hill, Lower Road, B1038, Stickling Green, Mill Lane and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 6th August 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Valance Road, Clavering/Upper Green Road, Langley)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Valance Road, Clavering/Upper Green Road, Langley in the District of Uttlesford, from the junction with Cogmore to the junction with Langley Road a distance of approximately 3020m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th August 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2408504/EP20153095430/EP20153095429 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Langley Road, Langley Lower Green, Park Lane, Bull Lane and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 6th August 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
