What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.  
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Rockbourne Road between its junction with Court Hill and its junction with Rockbourne Lane
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Rockbourne Lane, W Park Lane, Court Hill   TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED LIMIT:  Rockbourne Road, Sandleheath, New Forest between its junction with Court Hill and its junction with Rockbourne Trout Farm
DURATION OF ORDER: 6 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. The temporary speed restriction will be in force from 1st September 2026 - it is expected that the speed restriction will be required for no longer than 60 days, working full time.
The temporary road closure will be in force from the 1st October 2026 – it is expected that the road closure will be required for no longer than 30 days working between the hours 09:00-16:00.  
The road closure & speed restriction has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Core Highways to carry out works. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order, please contact: Ryan.harris@corehighways.com  
Core Highways will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
