What is happening?

Proposed removal of Disabled Parking Bays, Various Roads (P024 2026)


1. Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council proposes to make the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: The Portsmouth City Council (Various Roads) (Disabled Persons’ Parking Places) (No. 7) Order 2026.
2. The effect would be as follows:
a) To remove disabled bays in the following locations
Adstone Lane - Outside no. 1
Albert Grove - Outside Ruth Court
Almondsbury Road - Outside Oaklands House
Bettesworth Road - Outside no. 17
Bredenbury Crescent - Outside no. 21
Cedar Grove - Outside no. 34
Chesterfield Road - Outside no. 98
Claxton Street - Alongside no. 81 Railway View
Duke Crescent - Outside no. 57
Elkstone Road - Outside no. 36
Essex Road - Outside no. 19
Hambrook Street - Opposite no. 34-44
Henderson Road - Outside no. 69
Hilsea Crescent - Outside no. 67
Horsea Road - Outside no. 52
Lichfield Road - Outside no. 109
Liverpool Road - Outside no.75
Locksway Road - Outside no.116
Manners Road - Outside no.81
Milton Road - Outside no. 139
Powerscourt Road - Outside no. 185

3. Copies of the draft Order and Statement of Reasons and plans are available to view on Portsmouth City Council’s website: Search "Traffic Regulation Orders 2026" at

www.portsmouth.gov.uk.

Alternatively, they can be viewed at the Civic Offices, Guildhall Square, PO1 2AL, Monday to Friday between 9am - 4pm. Printed copies can be obtained by calling 02392 841767.
4. Persons wishing to object to these proposals must do so by sending their representations to

TROteam@portsmouthcc.gov.uk

or by post to Traffic Regulation Orders, Parking Team, Portsmouth City Council, Civic Offices, Portsmouth PO1 2NE, quoting ref P024-26 within 21 days of the date of this Notice (i.e. by 07th September 2026) stating the grounds for the objection.
