THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(FOX’S LANE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton
City Council propose to make an Order under Section
14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from
proceeding on the following stretches of road:
· Fox’s Lane closed in both directions at its junction
with Fiveways Island (Stafford Road/Stafford
Street). Vehicular Diversion Route: Stafford Street,
Cannock Road, Cross Street North, Crown Street
and vice versa.
· Bus Lane closed on Stafford Road inbound,
opposite West Street to Fiveways Island.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of
eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will
be undertaken from 25th August 2026 until
18th September 2026.
The Order is required to facilitate the installation of
HV electricity ducting for National Grid Electricity
Distribution.
