NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 10 August 2026 made the above Traffic Orders under section
6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.
1. The general effect of the Orders will be to:
a) Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of: No. 36 Elliott Road, Thornton Heath, No. 95 Fairlands Avenue, Thornton Heath, No. 119 Gonville Road, Thornton Heath, No 10 Lancing Road, Croydon, and No. 66 Mayfield Road, Thornton Heath, and No. 111 Silverleigh Road, Thornton Heath.
b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.

3. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF NEW PERMIT/PAYMENT PARKING BAYS & REVOCATION OF EXISTING WAITING RESTRICTIONS – BRICKWOOD ROAD, CROYDON

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and all other enabling powers.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be:
(a) To introduce three new permit/payment parking spaces outside Nos. 2 to 6 Brickwood Road following the reinstatement of two redundant dropped kerbs to footway. The bays would be for East Inner (EI) permit holders and pay-by-phone users for a maximum stay of four hours, operating from Monday to Saturday, 9am–5pm, in accordance with the surrounding permit zone parking places.
(b) To remove 16.5 metres of existing single yellow line restrictions to accommodate the new bays described above.
(c) To amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.
3. A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, between 10am and 6pm at Croydon Central Library, Katharine Street, CR9 1ET. Alternatively, all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.
4. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the, Parking Design Section, 3rd floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA or by emailing the Parking Design Team (email address above) quoting the reference: PD/H22 & H23 by 03 September 2026.
5. The proposed Orders are intended to introduce new permit/payment parking bays following the reinstatement of two redundant dropped kerbs to footway. The Orders are also intended to amend existing waiting restrictions to accommodate the new arrangements.
