DARTFORD AREA

(AMENDMENT No.9) ORDER 2026

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter called “the Act”), and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following Order:-

The effect of the named Order will introduce and amend double yellow lines (DYL) on the following lengths of roads in Darenth, Dartford:-

GREEN STREET GREEN ROAD – On the north east side from its junction with Wood Lane for a distance of 13 metres in a southerly direction and 19 metres in a northerly direction. WOOD LANE – From its junction with Green Street Green Road for a distance of 33 metres on the north west side and 16 metres on the south east side.

A full statement of the Council’s reasons for making the proposed Order, a plan indicating the location and the effect and a copy of any other Orders which will be amended by the proposed Order may be examined at Kent Highways & Transportation, Kent County Council, Kroner House, Eurogate Business Park, Ashford, TN24 8XU by appointment booked through tro@kent.gov.uk or viewed online from 21 August 2026 at www.kent.gov.uk/highwaysconsultations

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1(1), (2), 2(1) to (3) and 4(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) as amended and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order

The effect of the named Order will be to revoke the except for access for buses and cycles on the following length of road in Aylesham, Dover:-

HERITAGE ROAD – Remove the except for access buses and cycles restriction at the junction with Bell Grove.

SWALE AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS, BOROUGH OF SWALE) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER
(AMENDMENT No.5) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order is to introduce double yellow lines (DYL) on the following lengths of roads in Sittingbourne, Swale:-

WEST STREET - (1) On the north side to extend the parking bay by 10 metres and shorten the existing Double Yellow Lines at a point 23 metres west of its junction with Dover Street. (2) On the north side to shorten the parking bay by 10 metres and install Double Yellow Lines with no loading/unloading restrictions from a point 75 metres west of its junction with Dover Street.

(AMENDMENT No.7) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order is to introduce double yellow lines (DYL) on the following lengths of roads in Bobbing, Swale:-

ROBIN CLOSE – (1) To extend the current restriction on its north west side for a distance of 7 metres in a westerly direction. (2) To extend the current restriction on its south east side for a distance of 11 metres in a westerly direction and in the turning head.

This order was originally advertised as Amendment 31 but due to the recent consolidation order it has been renamed as above.

The Order was made on 20 August 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 21 August 2026.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.

THANET AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, THANET)
(WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES)
(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER (AMENDMENT No.10) ORDER 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act‘), the Traffic Management 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-

The effect of the named Order will introduce waiting restrictions (Double Yellow Lines) at any time on the following length of roads in Ramsgate, Thanet:-

DUMPTON PARK DRIVE - DYL – On the west side join up the existing double yellow lines between its junctions with Harebrook and Muir Road.

The Order was made on 20 August 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 21 August 2026.
