TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council propose to make the following Traffic Regulation Order in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
THE CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL
(A483 WREXHAM ROAD, CHESTER)
(30 MPH AND 50 MPH SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2026
The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 30 MPH speed limit on A483 Wrexham Road, Chester, from a point 400 metres south of Overleigh Roundabout to its northerly junction with Herons Way, an approximate distance of 1265 metres.
The Order will also consolidate existing speed limits.

All objections and other representations relating to the Order must be made in writing to the undersigned by 3rd September 2026 and objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
Notice is hereby given that on 11 August 2026 Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council made the following Traffic Regulation Order in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will come into force on 14 August 2026.
THE CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL
(A534 BARTON ROAD, FARNDON)
(40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026
The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 40 mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:
A534 Barton Road, Farndon, from the County boundary for a distance of approximately 2285 metres in a north-easterly direction;
Barton Road, Farndon, from its junction with Sibbersfield Lane for a distance of 405 metres in a south-easterly direction; and
Sibbersfield Lane, Farndon, from its junction with A534 Barton Road for a distance of 260 metres in a northerly direction.
If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or to any provisions contained in it, on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any instruments made under it have not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks of 11 August 2026 apply to the High Court for that purpose.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
TRO23644 – Bouverie Street, Raymond Street,
South View Road In Chester
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on & civils, resurfacing & lining works to be carried out by Colas (CWAC).
BOUVERIE STREET, RAYMOND STREET AND
SOUTH VIEW ROAD
Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.
The Order will come into force on 21/08/2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 2 weeks to complete.
Alternative routes for through traffic – Traffic should proceed via: Sealand Road, Stadium Way, Cheyney Road and vice versa.
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
TRO88824 – Chester Road in Aldford
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Aldford to enable utility works to be carried out by Severn Trent.
CHESTER ROAD
Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.
The Order will come into force on 21/08/2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 13 days to complete.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Chester to enable safe working for surfacing and lining works to be carried out Colas (CWAC).
MANNINGS LANE SOUTH, HOOLE ROAD
Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.
The Order will come into force on 24/08/2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 3 weeks to complete.
Alternative routes for through traffic – Traffic should proceed via: Mannings Lane daytime diversion 1 Sefton Road, Mannings Lane South, Fairfield Road.
Hoole Road – night surfacing/lining.
Hoole Way, St Oswalds Way, Christleton Road, Brook Street Bridge, Challinor Street, Boughton, Tarvin Road, Hoole Road, Ring Road, Vicars Cross Road, Hoole Roundabout.
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
TRO23739 – Tattenhall Road in Chester
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road into Chester to enable excavation and stabilisation of edge of carriageway and carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out by Colas (CWAC).
TATTENHALL ROAD

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
TRO23637 – Pepper Street in Chester
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Chester to enable Carriageway Surfacing and lining works to be carried out by Colas (CWAC).
PEPPER STREET
Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.
