What is happening?

Manchester City Council proposes to make the CITY OF MANCHESTER (AKED CLOSE, DARTFORD CLOSE AND ROCKINGHAM CLOSE, ARDWICK) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to introduce the following:
NO WAITING AT ANY TIME:
Aked Close, (i) east side from Coverdale Crescent southerly to Dartford Close, (ii) south-east side from Aked Close southerly for 5m, (iii) west side from Rockingham Close southerly for 25m, (iv) west side from Coverdale Crescent southerly direction to Rockingham Close. Coverdale Crescent, (i) south-east side from Aked Close easterly for 10m, (ii) south-west side from Aked Close westerly for 10m. Dartford Close, (i) north side from Aked Close easterly for 10m, (ii) south side from Aked Close easterly for 10m. Rockingham Close, (i) north side from Aked Close westerly for 5m, (ii) south side from Aked Close westerly for 5m.
A copy of the proposed Order, a Statement of Reasons, and a plan showing the proposals can be requested by emailing phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or examined in person by appointment at the Customer Service Centre, Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30pm. Objections to the proposals must be sent in writing to phlegal@ manchester.gov.uk or to the address below, stating the grounds on which they are made, no later than 11th September 2026.
