This Order was introduced because of safety measures associated with housing construction works and is anticipated to be completed February 2027. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily part of the footpath No.320/57/30 running from the A40 northwards towards Stevenson Crescent. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of footpath. The alternative route is signed westwards via Fields Road, south across A40 and North Way, and eastwards along footpath parallel to the A40. This Order, with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport will remain in force until 28 February 2027 or until the works have been completed whichever is sooner Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
