THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(HOLME PIERREPONT FOOTPATH NO.2) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) CONTINUATION NO.2 ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State Transport in pursuance of the powers conferred by Sections 14 and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 approves of The Nottinghamshire County Council (Holme Pierrepont Footpath No.2) (Temporary Prohibition) Notice 2026 (which came into force on 17 February 2026 and was continued in force by a Continuation Order until 16 th August 2026 inclusive) being extended and continuing in force until 16 th August 2027 or until completion of the relevant works, whichever is the sooner.
The Order has the following effect:-
No person shall: -
(a) proceed on foot, in the following length of Footpath at Holme Pierrepont in the Borough of Rushcliffe :-
Holme Pierrepont Footpath No.2 from the first footbridge to the start of the footpath at Radcliffe Road, Radcliffe on Trent. SK 63331 38512.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there is no alternative route available for pedestrians on public rights of way.
If the works are not completed within the above period, the Order may be extended for a longer period with the further approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
The prohibition is required to protect public safety until essential repairs can be completed to a number of timber footbridges along this route.
