Hagley - Temporary Road Closures Due To Carriageway Resurfacing Works

PUBLIC NOTICE

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

(A456 Hagley Causeway/U20402 Hagley Wood Lane, Hagley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026

Proposed Order: To close that part of 1 – A456 Hagley Causeway including the A456 Hagley Wood Roundabout for its entirety from its junction with A456 Wassell Grove Roundabout for a distance of 1695 metres in an easterly direction until the boundary with Dudley. 2 – U20402 Hagley Wood Lane from its junction with A456 Hagley Wood Roundabout for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction.

Reason: Carriageway resurfacing by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: Diversion for Closure 1: A456 Hagley Hill, A456 Birmingham Rd, A491 Stourbridge Rd into Dudley and vice versa.

Westbound diversion for Closure 2 (clockwise): U20402 Hagley Wood Ln, C2002 St Kenelms Pass, C2002 Vine Ln, C2163 Odnall Ln, C2163 Woodman Ln, C2003 Bromsgrove Rd, U20463 Park Rd, A456 Hagley Roundabout, A456 Kidderminster Rd, A456 Birmingham Rd, A456 Hagley Hill.

Westbound diversion for Closure 2 (anticlockwise): A456 Hagley Hill, A456 Birmingham Rd, A456 Kidderminster Rd, C2003 Bromsgrove Rd, C2163 Woodman Ln, C2163 Odnall Ln, C2002 Vine Ln, C2002 St Kenelms Pass, U20402 Hagley Wood Ln.

Eastbound diversion for Closure 2: U20402 Hagley Wood Ln, C2002 Chapel Ln, C2002 Uffmoor Ln and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 nights (20:00-06:00). Commencing: 8 September 2026.
