(C2191 Greenway, Kidderminster) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026

Order made: To close that part of C2191 Greenway from a point 975 metres east of its junction with C2189 Porchbrook Rd for a distance of 1750 metres in an easterly direction.

Reason: Telecoms repair works by Openreach.

Alternative route: C2189 Porchbrook Rd, C2189 Quarry Rd, C2189 Boraston Rd, C2021 Heightington Rd, C2191 Greenway (part) and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day. Commencing: 20 August 2026.

(C2169 Hoo Road/A442 Worcester Road, Kidderminster) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026

Order made: To close that part of: 1) C2169 Hoo Road from its junction with A449 Chester Rd South to its junction with U12626 St. Cecilia Cl. 2) A442 Worcester Road (entire central reservation) from its junction with A4420 Silverwoods Way to its junction with A451 The Ringway Roundabout.

Reason: To lay new ducting by Electricity Network Company.

No access for emergency services, must follow diversion route.

Alternative route: Diversion Closure 1 (Eastbound): A449 Chester Rd South, A448 Comberton Rd, A448 Comberton Hill, C2169 Hoo Rd (part). (Westbound): C2169 Hoo Rd (part), A448 Comberton Hill, A448 Comberton Hill Roundabout, A451 The Ringway, A451 Ringway Roundabout, A442 Worcester Rd, A449 Chester Road South. Diversion Closure 2: A442 Worcester Rd (Northbound), A451 Ringway Roundabout, A442 Worcester Rd (Southbound) and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 42 days (24hrs). Commencing: 16 August 2026 (Hoo Road 17–21 August 2026 & Worcester Road 16 August–26 September 2026).

(A448 Bromsgrove Road, Kidderminster) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026

Order made: To close that part of A448 Bromsgrove Rd from its junction with A450 Worcester Rd to its junction with U135620 Butts Ln.

Reason: Carriageway patching by WCC.

Alternative route: A450 Worcester Rd, A442 Droitwich Rd, A449 Worcester Rd, A449 Chester Rd South, A448 Comberton Rd, A448 Stone Hill and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 nights (19:00–06:00) between 17 August 2026 to 23 August 2026.

(C2019 Blakeshall Lane, Wolverley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026

Order made: To close that part of C2019 Blakeshall Ln from its junction with U13206 U13206 Solcum Ln for a distance of 280 metres in a northerly direction.

Reason: Utility work by STW.

Alternative route: C2019 Gipsy Ln, C2128 Kinver Rd, C2013 Caunsall Rd, A449 Wolverhampton Rd, B4189 Wolverley Rd, C2019 Wolverley Terrace, C2019 Blakeshall Ln (part) and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days. Commencing: 18 August 2026.

(C2195 Heightington Road, Heightington) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026

Order made: To close that part of C2195 Heightington Rd from its junction of U10012 Jennings Wood Ln to its junction with Park End (private road).

Reason: Maintenance Works by WCC.

Alternative route: C2195 Heightington Rd (part), C2195 Leight Ln, B4194 Red Hill, B4194 Ribbesford Rd, A451 Dunley, C2021 Dunley, C2021 Dunley Rd, C2195 Heightington Rd (part) and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 5 days. Commencing: 17 August 2026.

(Link Footpath F10347 Coventry Street, Kidderminster) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026

Proposed Order: To close that part of Link Footpath F10347 Coventry St to Leswell Grove from its junction with A456 Coventry St roundabout to its junction with U12506 George St.

Reason: Utility work by National Grid.

Alternative route: U12506 George St, U12511 Findon St, Link Footpath F10097 Findon St to Leswell Grove, U12513 Leswell Grove, U12512 Leswell Ln and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 6 Months. Anticipated duration: 38 days (24hrs). Commencing: 9 September 2026.

EXEMPTIONS: TO PERMIT ACCESS TO ANY LAND OR PREMISES FRONTING THE HIGHWAY AFFECTED WHERE THERE IS NO OTHER FORM OF ACCESS; AND TO ALLOW THE WORKS TO BE UNDERTAKEN

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (As Amended)

(Wyre Forest District – Kidderminster area) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2007 (Variation) Order 2026 [Prohibition of Waiting on Whitehouse Road, Kidderminster]

On 30 July 2026 Worcestershire County Council made an Order the effect of which will be to extend the prohibition of waiting on the following length and side of road in Kidderminster: –

Whitehouse Road (east side): from a point 149m west of its junction with Worcester Road for a distance of 14 metres in a northerly direction.

The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons’ vehicles.

The Order will come into operation on 20 August 2026.

The works will commence on 27 August 2026.

The validity of the Council’s powers in making the Order or this exercise of them may be questioned by application to the High Court within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
