Notice of Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic

Oxford, Jericho Street

Date of Order: 17/8/2026

Coming into force: 24/8/2026

This Order is being introduced because of LV electrical excavation works which are anticipated to take until 9/10/2026 to be completed. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of Jericho Street between Walton Street and Albert Street. Exemptions are included for emergency vehicles, the Works and for access to property. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T18186/JP)

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 8 June 2026

Comes into force: 16 June 2026

This Order was introduced because of low-voltage cabling works which were to be undertaken 16 June to 3 July 2026. The dates are now 18 August to 13 September. This is a 24 hour daily road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of Adelaide Street from No.11 to the junction of Walton Street. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure is via Walton Street, St Bernard’s Road, Woodstock Road, Observatory Street and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16470/AC)

This Order is being introduced because of the installation of traffic calming build outs and drainage works which are anticipated to take until 11/09/2026 to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit through traffic and waiting at any time in Davenant Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency service vehicles, the Works and for access to property. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T18220/JP)

Description of Works: Link box replacement, 10m track excavation, removal of old asset and replace with new. Jointing works, backfill and reinstatement being carried out by SCOTTISH AND SOUTHERN POWER DISTRIBUTION (SSEPD).
