TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the M25 Motorway in the County of Surrey, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to prevent incursion into works being undertaken by contractors working on behalf of Surrey County Council.
The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight closures of all slip roads leading to and from both carriageways of the M25 at Junction 9 (A243).
This measure would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake resurfacing works, and all associated work.
It is expected that the work would last approximately 17 days starting on Tuesday 8th September.
The overnight closures would take place between 22:00 and 05:00 hours.
The Order would come into force on the 6th September 2026 and remain so for a maximum of 18 months, expiring when the works are complete.
Traffic affected by the closures would be diverted using the M25, A244, A245, A3, A24, A246, A25, A247, B2430, B2215, B2039, B2122 and C131.
The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
