Athol Street, Bracewell Street And Percy Street Areas - Removal And Introduction Of Road Humps

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ATHOL STREET, BRACEWELL STREET AND PERCY STREET AREAS, NELSON, PENDLE BOROUGH) (REMOVAL AND INTRODUCTION OF ROAD HUMPS)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980, Lancashire County Council propose the following:
1. Remove raised tables in the following locations:
a) Athol Street, Nelson, from the intersection of the centreline of Holly Street for a distance of 5.45 metres in a north westerly direction and 5.45 metres in a south easterly direction;
b) Holly Street, Nelson, from the intersection of the centreline of Athol Street for a distance of 5.25 metres in a north easterly direction and 5.25 metres in a south westerly direction;
c) Athol Street, Nelson, from the intersection of the centreline of Temple Street for a distance of 6.24 metres in a north westerly direction and 6.24 metres in a south easterly direction;
d) Temple Street, Nelson, from the intersection of Athol Street for a distance of 6.45 metres in a northerly direction and 6.45 metres in a southerly direction;
e) Bracewell Street, Nelson, from the intersection of Holly Street for a distance of 6.03 metres in a north westerly direction and 6.03 metres in a south easterly direction;
f) Holly Street, Nelson, from the intersection of Bracewell Street for a distance of 5.38 metres in a north easterly direction and 5.38 metres in a south westerly direction.
2. Remove speed humps in the following locations:
a) Bracewell Street, Nelson, from a point 58.95 metres southeast of its junction with the centreline of Holly Street for a distance of 4.35 metres in a south easterly direction;
b) Bradshaw Street, Nelson, from a point 9.37 metres southwest of its junction with the centreline of Percy Street for a distance of 5 metres in a south westerly direction;
c) Percy Street, Nelson, from a point 31.16 metres southeast of its junction with the centreline of Bradshaw Street for a distance of 5 metres in a south easterly direction;
d) Bradshaw Street, Nelson, from a point 10.95 metres southwest of its junction with the centreline of Ripon Street for a distance of 5 metres in a south westerly direction;
e) Bentley Street, Nelson, from a point 42.32 metres southwest of its junction with the centreline of Percy Street for a distance of 4.8 metres in a south westerly direction;
f) Percy Street, Nelson, from a point 32.82 metres northwest of its junction with the centreline of Bentley Street for a distance of 5 metres in a north westerly direction.
3. Introduce raised junction tables in the following locations:
a) Athol Street, Nelson, from the intersection of the centreline of Holly Street for a distance of 9.73 metres in a north westerly direction and 10.17 metres in a south easterly direction;
b) Holly Street, Nelson, from the intersection of the centreline of Athol Street for a distance of 9.48 metres in a north easterly direction and 9.92 metres in a south westerly direction;
c) Athol Street, Nelson, from the intersection of the centreline of Temple Street for a distance of 9.99 metres in a north westerly direction and 9.55 metres in a south easterly direction;
d) Temple Street, Nelson, from the intersection of the centreline of Athol Street for a distance of 9.56 metres in a northerly direction and 9.94 metres in a southerly direction;
e) Percy Street, Nelson, from the intersection of Bentley Street for a distance of 9.87 metres in a north westerly direction and 8.97 metres in a south easterly direction;
f) Bentley Street, Nelson, from the intersection of Percy Street for a distance of 9.48 metres in a north easterly direction and 10.55 metres in a south westerly direction;
g) Bracewell Street, Nelson, from the intersection of Holly Street for a distance of 10.17 metres in a north westerly direction and 9.4 metres in a south easterly direction;
h) Holly Street, Nelson, from the intersection of Bracewell Street for a distance of 9.32 metres in a north easterly direction and 10.67 metres in a south westerly direction;
i) Bradshaw Street, Nelson, from the intersection of Percy Street for a distance of 8.17 metres in a north easterly direction and 8.17 metres in a south westerly direction;
j) Percy Street, Nelson, from the intersection of Bradshaw Street for a distance of 9.06 metres in a north westerly direction and 9.06 metres in a south easterly direction;
k) Bradshaw Street, Nelson, from the intersection of Ripon Street for a distance of 7.32 metres in a north easterly direction and 7.32 metres in a south westerly direction;
l) Ripon Street, Nelson, from the intersection of Bradshaw Street for a distance of 10.95 metres in a north westerly direction.
The raised junction tables will have a maximum height not exceeding 75mm.
4. Introduce speed humps in the following locations:
a) Athol Street, Nelson, from a point 34.46 metres southeast of its junction with the centreline of Holly Street for a distance of 5.4 metres in a south easterly direction;
b) Percy Street, Nelson, from a point 53.79 metres northwest of its junction with the centreline of Bentley Street for a distance of 5.4 metres in a north westerly direction;
c) Bracewell Street, Nelson, from a point 57.73 metres southeast of its junction with the centreline of Holly Street for a distance of 6.33 metres in a south easterly direction.
The speed humps will have a maximum height not exceeding 75mm.
5. Introduce single speed cushions in the following lengths of road:
a) Percy Street, Nelson, from a point 27.49 metres northwest of its junction with the centreline of Bentley Street for a distance of 3 metres in a north westerly direction;
b) Holly Street, Nelson, from a point 38.12 metres northeast of its junction with the centreline of Bracewell Street for a distance of 3 metres in a north easterly direction;
c) Bracewell Street, Nelson, from a point 39.41 metres southeast of its junction with the centreline of Holly Street for a distance of 3 metres in a south easterly direction;
d) Percy Street, Nelson, from a point 28.71 metres southeast of its junction with the centreline of Bradshaw Street for a distance of 3 metres in a south easterly direction.
The speed cushions will have a maximum height not exceeding 75mm.
6. Introduce a pair of speed cushions in Temple Street, Nelson, from a point 37.9 metres south of its junction with the centreline of Athol Street for a distance of 3 metres in a southerly direction.
The speed cushions will have a maximum height not exceeding 75mm.
