LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS LOCATIONS, NELSON, PENDLE BOROUGH) (REVOCATION, ONE WAY TRAFFIC AND PROHIBITION OF TURNS) ORDER 202*
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council propose to make the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the "The Borough Of Pendle (Urban Safety Project Area C) (Prohibition Of Driving, Prohibition Of Waiting, Prohibition Of Right And Left Turn And Revocation) Order, 1984" insofar as it relates to a prohibition of right turn in Ripon Street, Nelson, Ripon Street into Hibson Road.
2. Introduce a one way traffic restriction in the following lengths of road:
a) Bentley Street, Nelson, from its junction with Beaufort Street to its junction with Percy Street southwest to northeast;
b) Bracewell Street, Nelson, from its junction with Southfield Square to its junction with Holly Street southeast to northwest;
c) Bradshaw Street, Nelson, from its junction with Princess Street to its junction with Beaufort Street northeast to southwest;
d) Holly Street, Nelson, from its junction with Athol Street to its junction with Bracewell Street northeast to southwest;
e) Percy Street, Nelson, from its junction with Bentley Street to its junction with Bradshaw Street southeast to northwest;
f) Percy Street, Nelson, from its junction with Bradshaw Street to its junction with Hibson Road southeast to northwest;
g) Ripon Street, Nelson, from its junction with Hibson Road to its junction with Bradshaw Street northwest to southeast.
3. Introduce a prohibition of left turn in Ripon Street, Nelson, vehicles on Ripon Street to be prohibited from turning left into Bradshaw Street.
4. Introduce a prohibition of right turn in Percy Street, Nelson, Vehicles on Percy Street to be prohibited from turning right into Bradshaw Street.
A copy of the draft Order and associated documents for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Pendle Borough Council, No1 Market Street, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 9LU and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
