GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ON STREET PARKING ORDER 2017
(VARIOUS ROADS) (TOWN OF QUEDGELEY) (GLOUCESTER DISTRICT) (VARIATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council intends to make a Variation Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which would vary the Gloucestershire County Council On Street Parking Order 2017 (the 2017 Order) by introducing the proposed waiting & loading restrictions detailed in the Schedule below on various roads in Town of Quedgeley, Gloucester, Gloucestershire.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE U41105 BROOKFIELD LANE
(CHURCHDOWN PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the U41105 Brookfield Lane Road from outside of the property known as ‘No.24 Brookfield Lane’ to outside of the premises known as ‘the Sewage pumping station’ for a distance of approximately 65 metres.
The reason for the closure is for bridge inspection works.
The road is expected to be closed from 22:00hrs on 1st September 2026 until 06:00hrs on 2nd September 2026 only.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C76 DEERHURST ROAD
(DEERHURST PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C76 Deerhurst Road from its junction with Hawk Close to outside of the property known as ‘Oak House’ for a distance of approximately 60 metres.
The reason for the closure is for Pole renewal works on behalf of BT Openreach.
The road is expected to be closed from between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 on 3rd September 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order
may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

C87 NATTON ROAD (ASHCHURCH RURAL PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C87 Natton Road from its junction with Platinum Drive to its junction with Hornbeam Drive for a distance of approximately 350 metres.
The reason for the closure is for drainage works to the new development.
The road is expected to be closed from 1st September 2026 to 18th December 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Alternative Route – as signed on site. Emergency access to premises on or next to the road will NOT be maintained for safety reasons due to the nature of the works. Pedestrian access will not be maintained as there is currently no footway along the route/.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH ECN 77
(CHURCHDOWN PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH
NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has further extended the Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of public footpath ECN 77 from its junction with Public Footpath ECN 76a and then extends in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 240 metres to its junction with Public Footpath ECN 78.
The Footpath falls in Churchdown Parish in the Tewkesbury Borough and in the County of Gloucestershire; The closure is necessary to safeguard the health and safety of the public due to an unsafe M5 footbridge.
This temporary closure Order came into force on the 30th March 2026 and was expected to end on the 9th September 2026. However, the works have still not been completed and the Secretary of State has granted an extension until 9th March 2028 or until the works are complete, whichever is earliest.
