THE HAMPSHIRE (BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND LOADING AND PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2026 (VARIATION NO. 2)

(CASTLE HILL AND MARNEL) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 4th August 2026, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 53 and 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to extend the existing No Stopping on School Entrance Markings and No Waiting at any Time restrictions located on Winklebury Way and Shetland Road outside of Castle Hill primary school and Marnel junior school respectively as described in the following schedule:

DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into force on Saturday 15th August 2026.

(ii) Deanes Reception Civic Offices, London Road, Basingstoke, RG21 4AH (Opening hours: Monday – Friday: 08.30 – 16.30)

(iii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours: Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 5.15; Fridays 8.30 – 4.45)

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by Tuesday 15th September 2026 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
