Birtley Road (A281) Bramley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 7 August 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Birtley Road (A281) Bramley as extends from its junction with The Coombes (D667) to its junction with Woodrough Copse (X281).

Alternative route – A281 (Birtley Road, Rooks Hill and Horsham Road), B2130 (Elmbridge Road), B2128 (The Common, Guildford Road, Stroud Common, Church Hill, The Green, Cranleigh Road, Wonersh Common), A248 (Kings Road) and A281 (Horsham Road, High Street, and Birtley Road), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate the construction of a new pedestrian crossing and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services and residents will be maintained either side of but not through the works site. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Fairways (D6200) Ashford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 12 August 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Fairways (D6200) Ashford. This Order is required to facilitate construction of raised table works within the carriageway for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 weeks, between the hours of 8pm and 6am, within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. There is no alternative route for this closure.

Ockford Ridge (D5425) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 12 August 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ockford Ridge (D5425) Godalmingas extends from a point in line with the common boundary between No. 126 and No. 125 Ockford Ridge south-eastwards then south-westwards to its junction with (D5425) Hawthorn Road. Alternative Route – Ockford Ridge; Miltons Crescent; Primrose Ridge; and Hawthorn Road, or this same route in reverse. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 24 August 2026 is required to facilitate ground penetrating radar survey works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Hailsham Roadways LTD within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents with then closure area, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Ripley Road (C38) East Clandon/West Clandon Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 12 August 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ripley Road (C38) East Clandon/West Clandon which extends from the junction with X38 The Spinney to the junction with D254 Back Lane. This Order is required to enable Volker Highways and/or Network Rail to carry out drainage renewals and/or drainage works, which is anticipated to be completed within 25 days, between 8am and 5pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 17 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary restrictions, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Alternative Route – Epsom Road, Ripley Lane, Hungry Hill Lane and Ripley Road.

Tilt Road (D6870) Cobham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 12 August 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tilt Road (D6870) Cobham which extends from its junction with Elm Grove Road north-westwards to the northern property boundary line of No.24. This Order is required to enable BT Openreach to carry out cabling works and/or pole replacement works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day between 9.30am and 3.30am, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 18 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary restrictions will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Route – Tilt Road and Stoke Road.

D3046 Foxhills Road, Ottershaw Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 12 August 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3046 Foxhills Road, Ottershaw which extends from its junction with A320 Guildford Road Roundabout to its junction with the entrance to Foxhills Road; and (b) revoke “Surrey County Council D3046 Foxhills Road, Ottershaw Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” in its entirety. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway reconstruction works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 17 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary restrictions will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained when safe to do so. Alternative Route – D3046 Foxhills Road, D3045 Stonehill Road, B386 Holloway Hill and A320 Guildford Road.

Munstead Heath Road (C31) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 12 August 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Munstead Heath Road (C31) Godalming which extends from its junction with Alldens lane to its junction with Public Bridleway No.516 (Busbridge). This Order is required to enable M Group and/or Thames Water to carry out water network upgrade works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 8am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 19 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary restrictions, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Alternative Route 1 – Munstead Heath Lane, Foxburrow Hill Road, A281, A248 Broadford Road, A3100 Meadrow, Flambard Way and Brighton Road; Alternative Route 2 – Brighton Road, A3100 Flambard Way, Meadrow, Broadford Road, A281 Foxburrow Hill Road and Munstead Heath Road.

Harpers Road (D67) Ash Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Harpers Road (D67) Ash as extends from its junction with Guildford Road (A323) to its junction with Ash Green Road (D66); and 2. suspend “The Surrey County Council Harpers Road (D67) Ash Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” and “The Surrey County Council Harpers Road (D67) Ash Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” insofar as they relate to the carriageway described in 1.

Alternative route – Guildford Road (A323), Stonehill Road, Foreman Road and Ash Green Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Mostrim Groundworks to facilitate S278 carriageway and kerbing works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 7 September 2026 for 3 days between the hours of 8.00am and 5.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services and pedestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents will be maintained.

Markwick Lane (C32) Loxhill and Hydon Heath (C32) Hydestile Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Markwick Lane (C32) Loxhill and Hydon Heath (C32) Hydestile as extends from the junction of Markwick Lane with Mare Lane (D170) to the access for “Woodland Cottage”.

Alternative route – Salt Lane, Hambledon Road, Home Farm Road, B2130 (Brighton Road, Hascombe Road, The Street and Godalming Road) and Markwick Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable SSEN to facilitate vegetation cutting and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 9 September 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

D3042 Ford Road, Chertsey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3042 Ford Road, Chertsey that extends from the north-western property boundary of “Unit 3 Fordwater Trading Estate, Ford Road”, south-eastwards to the eastern end of D3042 Ford Road. This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to carry out ducting works and/or to carry out cabling and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm within 4 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 September 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. There is no applicable alternative route however access for residents, businesses, emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of site operatives.

Send Marsh Road (B368) Ripley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Send Marsh Road (B368) Ripley as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Talisman” to its junction with the access to the property known as “The Jaysians”; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Send Marsh Road (B368) Ripley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route: (B368) Send Marsh Green, (A247) Send Barns Lane, and (B2215) Portsmouth Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate electrical cabling utility works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 September 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists, via road plates if required. All other vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles will be required to follow the signed diversion route.

Tangley Lane (D54) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tangley Lane (D54) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D54) Keens Lane and for a distance of 15 metres in a north easterly direction along Tangley Lane. Alternative Route: Tangley Lane, (A322) Worplesdon Road, and Keens Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate mains water connection works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 September 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, all other vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles will be required to follow the signed diversion route.

The Street (C40) West Horsley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of The Street (C40) West Horsley as extends from its junction with (X7351) Walnut Tree Gardens to its junction with (C40) Ripley Lane. Alternative Route: The Street, East Lane, (B2039) Ockham Road North, (B2039) Ockham Road South, (A246) Guildford Road, (A246) Epsom Road, and The Street, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate overhead telecom cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 September 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Wodeland Avenue (D4016) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Wodeland Avenue (D4016) Guildford as extends from its junction with (A31) Farnham Road south-westwards for a distance of approximately 40 metres. Alternative Route – A31 Farnham Road; Annadale Road; and Windmill Road or this same route in reverse. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 01 September 2026 is required to facilitate mains gas replacement works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Clancy within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for Residents within the closure area, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, all other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Station Lane (C32) Milford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Station Lane (C32) Milford as extends from its junction with (D907) Springwood to its junction with the access to “Milford Golf Club”. Alternative Route – Station Lane; A286 Church Road; A283 Petworth Road; Lane End; Malthouse Lane; Rock Hill; Hambledon Road; and Station Lane or this same route in reverse. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 01 September 2026 is required to facilitate high voltage electrical supply connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Connect It Utility Services Ltd within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 5 weeks between the hours of 6pm and 5am. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for Residents within the closure area, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site, all other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Windmill Road (A244) Sunbury
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Windmill Road (A244) Sunbury as extends from its junction with (D6427) Nursery Road to its junction with (X6650) Dolphin Road and (D6302) Windmill Road West; and (b) suspend “The Spelthorne Borough Council (Lower Sunbury) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 1987” in so far as it affects Nursery Road (D6427) Sunbury. Alternative Route – A244 Windmill Road; A308 Staines Road West; Green Street; and Nursery Road or this same route in reverse. This 18-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 07 September 2026 is required to facilitate telecoms excavation and utility works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Jackson Civil Engineering within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 9 days between the hours of 9pm and 6am. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure and suspension will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents with the closure area, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via marshals on site. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Market Street (D4004) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Market Street (D4004) Guildford (between North Street and High Street). This Order is required to enable Total Utility Connections to carry out electrical installation/connection works, which is anticipated to be completed within 12 days during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 2 September 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary restrictions, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain access for emergency service vehicles, residents and businesses and will be required to follow the diversion route. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists, will be maintained when safe to do so and/or under direction of a banksman. Alternative Route – High Street and North Street.

A308 The Glanty/The Causeway and A320 Chertsey Lane, Egham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, including cyclists, from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out carriageway dressing/pre-patching works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 3 September 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians will be permitted by the gatemen when safe to do so. Access for cyclists will not be maintained and will be required to follow the signed diversion route/directed by the gatemen on-site.

1. that length of A308 The Glanty, Egham and A308 The Causeway, Staines-upon-Thames which extends from a point where the dual carriageway on A308 The Glanty becomes a single carriageway (east of the roundabout junction with Woodhaw) eastwards to the roundabout junction with A308 Chertsey Lane. Alternative Route – B3376 Thorpe Road, B3376 Thorpe Lea Road, B3376 New Wickham Lane, B388 Vicarage Road, B388 High Street, B388 The Avenue, A30 Egham By Pass and A308 The Glanty;

2. that length of A320 Chertsey Lane, Egham which extends from its junctrion with Coppers Close to its junction with Norlands Lane. Alternative Route – B388 Thorpe Road, B388 Mill House Lane, B388 Thorpe By Pass, B388 Thorpe Lea Road, B3376 Thorpe Lea Road and B3376 Thorpe Road;
