Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Pool.

This prohibition is necessary for defect repair works and it is expected that the closure will be from 7th September 2026, for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1600, weekdays only.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council is under the above Order dated 26th February 2026 continuing to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Footpath 22, Camborne between the junction of Crane Road and Boundervean Lane.

The Order which commenced on the 27th February 2026 and is currently in force for up to six months will now continue until the 31st December 2026. The continuance of this Order, which was to have expired on the 6th August 2026 has been approved by the Secretary of State for Transport. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The Council is satisfied that this further restriction is necessary owing to engineering difficulties and the Order is needed because S278 development works are being executed on or near the public right of way.

Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.
